Univar Solutions announced it has expanded its strategic partnership with Dow (NYSE: DOW) to distribute silicone additives for plastics and composites across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The agreement covers Univar Solutions' Ingredients + Specialties segment.
Under the distribution agreement, Univar Solutions will provide Dow's silicone additives designed to improve processing, durability, and resource efficiency in plastics and composite applications throughout the EMEA region.
"Expanding into silicone additives for plastics and composites is a natural next step, allowing us to deliver advanced silicone technologies that help customers achieve performance and sustainability goals," said Matthew Oliver, senior vice president of Performance Materials for Univar Solutions.
The partnership combines Dow's silicone innovation expertise with Univar Solutions' commercial knowledge, product management, sales expertise, and technical application support. Univar Solutions' Essen Solution Center will collaborate with Dow to develop application-driven solutions for coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, rubber, and plastics markets.
The distribution agreement includes 25 countries across the EMEA region, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
