Anavex receives NASDAQ delinquency notice for late quarterly filing

Anavex Life Sciences Corp. (NASDAQ: AVXL) received a delinquency notification from Nasdaq on May 20 for failing to file its quarterly report for the period ended March 31, 2026, according to a company statement.
The notification indicates the biopharmaceutical company is not in compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) due to its inability to timely file its Form 10-Q quarterly report. The company has until July 20, 2026, to submit a plan to regain compliance with the exchange's listing requirements.
Anavex stated it is working to complete and file the Form 10-Q and submit a compliance plan to Nasdaq. The notification has no immediate effect on the company's stock listing on the exchange.
The New York-based company focuses on developing treatments for central nervous system disorders including neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and neuropsychiatric conditions.
