Tenable Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: TENB) announced the general availability of Tenable Hexa AI, an artificial intelligence engine designed to automate cybersecurity workflows within its exposure management platform.
The company stated that Tenable Hexa AI operates as part of the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform and uses advanced multi-step reasoning capabilities along with Model Context Protocol support. The system connects to existing security and IT tools to automate processes from vulnerability discovery through remediation.
Key features include automated remediation workflows that create and route tickets, generate policies, and produce reports. The system also provides end-to-end exposure path insights, allowing users to query environments by identity attributes such as service accounts and privileged users.
"AI Agents operating without the right guardrails and harness can be unpredictable, brittle, or unsafe in real-world enterprise environments," said Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer at Tenable. "This is where Tenable Hexa AI shines. It's an agentic force; a multi-domain, enterprise-ready AI engine built for end-to-end trust."
The tool leverages what Tenable describes as its Exposure Data Fabric, which the company characterizes as a repository of contextualized exposure data. The AI system is designed to transform technical data into prioritized intelligence for security teams.
Tenable Hexa AI is available to customers using Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced plans. The announcement was made during the company's Exposure Conference 2026 event in Boston.
The cybersecurity company serves over 40,000 customers globally and focuses on exposure management across various IT environments including cloud and critical infrastructure systems.
