Shoals Technologies opens $30 million Tennessee manufacturing facility

Shoals Technologies Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHLS) opened a 638,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Portland, Tennessee, backed by a $30 million investment, according to a company statement.

The facility consolidates three existing Tennessee operations into one location and expands production capacity for solar power, battery energy storage systems, and data center infrastructure products. The company stated it has committed up to $80 million total over five years for the project.

Located at 1500 Shoals Way, the facility increases automation in production and packaging operations to meet growing demand across the energy sector, the company said.

"As demand for energy infrastructure continues to accelerate, this new Mega Facility allows Shoals to scale alongside our customers and meet the needs of a rapidly evolving energy landscape," said Brandon Moss, chief executive officer.

The opening coincides with Shoals' 30th anniversary. The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and donated $20,000 to Hands of Hope, a local organization that provides meals to residents in Portland and Sumner County.

Shoals manufactures electrical infrastructure solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and data center power systems. The company was founded in 1996 and is based in Portland, Tennessee.
