New Fortress Energy receives court approval for creditor plan meetings

New Fortress Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NFE) announced that the High Court granted its subsidiaries permission to convene creditor meetings on May 14, 2026, as part of a UK Restructuring Plan implementation.
The company's subsidiaries, NFE Global Holdings Limited and NFE Brazil Newco Limited, will hold plan meetings on June 15, 2026, following a voting deadline of June 9, 2026. The meetings will be conducted as hybrid physical and virtual sessions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom's London offices.
New Fortress Energy previously entered into a Restructuring Support Agreement with creditors on March 17, 2026, and published a practice statement letter on April 20, 2026, in connection with the UK Restructuring Plan.
The court sanction hearing is scheduled for June 18, 2026. If approved, the company expects to implement the restructuring plan by the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
Creditors can access plan documentation through Kroll's website and submit voting instructions by the specified deadline. The company has made explanatory statements available to plan creditors detailing the voting process and meeting procedures.
