JetBlue launches blueprint II livery on new Airbus A220

JetBlue Airways Corp. (NASDAQ: JBLU) began scheduled flights with its Blueprint II aircraft livery on a new Airbus A220. The design represents an updated version of the airline's original Blueprint livery that was first introduced in 2017 on an Embraer E190 and retired in 2024.

The new livery features a "see-through" design concept that displays illustrations of travel items integrated with the aircraft's mechanical structure. Blueprint II includes updated visual elements such as an oversized teddy bear in a passenger seat, a crown representing London as JetBlue's first European destination, a sextant in the flight deck, and vacation-themed items including fins, mask, snorkel and pool float.

The design incorporates what the company describes as "Easter eggs" hidden throughout the livery for passengers and aviation enthusiasts to discover. According to JetBlue President Marty St. George, the livery serves as an expression of the airline's brand and customer experience approach.

JetBlue completed its transition to an all-Airbus fleet on September 9, 2025, following the retirement of its Embraer E190 aircraft. The fleet now consists of A220 and A320 aircraft. The airline operates to more than 100 destinations across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe.
