Obagi Medical presents clinical data at Nashville dermatology conference

Obagi Medical, a unit of Waldencast plc (NASDAQ: WALD), presented clinical data on two skincare products at the Music City Symposium for Cosmetic Advances & Laser Education meeting held May 13-17 in Nashville.

The company shared results from a 12-week study of its NU-GEN Cellular Renewal Serum and interim findings from the ALOHA Program evaluating its Saypha MagIQ hyaluronic acid dermal filler used with medical-grade skincare products.

The NU-GEN study examined the serum's effects on wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, radiance, texture, firmness, plumpness, and perceived skin age. According to the company, the formula addresses nine signs of skin aging and clinical testing showed it can visibly reduce skin's apparent age by up to six years.

The ALOHA Program evaluated the dermal filler across more than 300 participating sites. Interim results showed 94% of injectors believe the Saypha MagIQ filler complements their current filler options, while 43% of patients also used Obagi skincare products.

"Reviewing the results from over 300 participating sites validated the core clinical results and makes it clear that there is a place for MagIQ in most practices," said Dr. Carolyn Jacob, one of the clinical investigators.
