Global Mofy invests in Moonshot AI financing round
Global Mofy AI Limited (NASDAQ: GMM) announced its participation in a financing round for Moonshot AI, the developer of the Kimi large language model platform in China. The company disclosed the investment on May 13.
Global Mofy provides generative AI-driven technology solutions for virtual content production and 3D digital asset development for the digital content industry. The company operates the "Mofy Lab" technology platform, which combines interactive 3D and AI technology to create virtual versions of physical objects.
Haogang Yang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Mofy, said the investment represents "an important milestone in Global Mofy's broader global strategic investment initiative." Yang stated that Kimi's technological direction aligns with the company's vision for AI-powered content generation and digital asset commercialization.
The investment is part of Global Mofy's capital allocation strategy aimed at expanding access to AI industry resources and partnership opportunities. The company indicated it plans to continue participating in AI ecosystems to enhance its technology integration capabilities.
Global Mofy operates one of China's digital asset banks, containing more than 150,000 high-precision 3D digital assets that can be used in movies, television, AR/VR, animation, advertising and gaming applications.
The company stated it remains focused on advancing initiatives across generative AI, AI-generated content production workflows, and digital asset ecosystems. Global Mofy did not disclose the financial terms of its investment in Moonshot AI.
