Workday Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced that its Sana Self-Service Agent is now available in Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing employees to handle HR and finance tasks without switching applications.
The integration enables employees to perform functions such as checking vacation balances, requesting time off, reviewing expense status, and accessing company policies through natural language commands within Microsoft 365. The agent connects to Workday's systems to complete tasks using existing organizational approvals and business rules.
Managers can use the service to review team goals, approve timesheets, and initiate performance reviews. Finance users can access expense and travel policies and check eligibility for corporate cards.
"People shouldn't have to jump between systems just to get a simple HR or finance answer," said Joel Hellermark, Sana general manager at Workday.
The Self-Service Agent operates as a single application in the Microsoft Marketplace and requires no separate login or additional licensing for existing Microsoft 365 Copilot users. Organizations maintain control over data, policies, and processes, with all interactions running through Workday's existing security and compliance framework.
Srini Raghavan, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft 365 Ecosystem at Microsoft, stated that the integration helps employees "access HR and finance support in the tools they use every day, while organizations retain the same policies, controls, and governance they already rely on with Workday."
The service is available for eligible Workday and Microsoft customers. Workday serves more than 11,500 organizations globally, including over 65% of Fortune 500 companies.
