Aura Business announced a partnership with TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) to distribute its identity-centric security solution for employee-owned devices through TD SYNNEX's North American partner network.
The partnership will provide managed service providers access to Aura Business's platform, which secures corporate system access from employee-owned devices without requiring device management or personal data access. The solution addresses bring-your-own-device security gaps in distributed work environments.
Research from Omdia cited in the announcement found that 65% of managed service providers receive client requests for BYOD management services, while 55% experienced BYOD-related security incidents in the past 24 months. Only 24% of MSPs currently monitor employee-owned devices.
"Our goal is to provide MSPs with a simpler way to protect their clients without adding complexity to their stack," said Jason Coville, head of the MSP business at Aura.
The research indicated that identity-centric issues like credential theft, account compromise, and phishing attempts drive most BYOD-related security incidents, occurring outside traditional IT controls.
TD SYNNEX customers can access Aura Business through the TD SYNNEX marketplace. Scott Young, SVP of Vendor Management at TD SYNNEX, said the addition expands opportunities for the company's ecosystem partners.
TD SYNNEX operates as a global distributor and solutions aggregator serving more than 150,000 customers across 100+ countries. The company is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, and Fremont, California.
