Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: MPC) announced Brian Worthington will become vice president of investor relations, while Kristina Kazarian will transition to vice president of finance and treasurer. Both appointments take effect May 25.
Worthington will succeed Kazarian in the investor relations role. Both executives will report to Maria Khoury, executive vice president and chief financial officer, according to the company's statement.
"Over the past six years, Brian has closely engaged with our investment community and developed a deep understanding of our business, positioning him as the ideal choice for this important role," said Maryann Mannen, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Worthington joined Marathon Petroleum in 2020 as part of the investor relations team, bringing 17 years of experience from ConocoPhillips. Kazarian joined the company in 2018 as vice president of investor relations and added finance responsibilities in 2023. She previously worked in energy roles at Fidelity and led equity research teams at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.
Both executives will serve in their respective capacities for MPLX (NYSE: MPLX), the master limited partnership sponsored by Marathon Petroleum. The Findlay, Ohio-based company operates what it describes as the nation's largest refining system.
