Circle Internet Group Inc. (NYSE: CRCL) announced the launch of Circle Agent Stack, a suite of services designed to enable AI agents to participate as autonomous economic actors. The new infrastructure allows AI agents to hold assets, discover services, and conduct transactions using USDC across supported blockchains.
The initial product rollout includes four components: Circle CLI, a command line interface for developers and AI agents to build applications on Circle's platform; Agent Wallets, which are policy-controlled wallets that allow agents to manage funds autonomously within predefined parameters; Agent Marketplace, a directory of services that agents can browse and integrate with programmatically; and Nanopayments powered by Circle Gateway, which enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as $0.000001.
"Financial infrastructure has historically been built for people, with manual onboarding, approvals, and payment flows that were never designed for software acting on its own," said Jeremy Allaire, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Circle. "The launch of Circle Agent Stack is exciting as it's the first full suite of services we're launching where AI agents themselves are the customers, not just developers and enterprises."
The nanopayments protocol is designed for high-frequency, sub-cent, machine-to-machine payment flows at machine speed and scale. Agent Wallets allow immediate sign-up and use by AI agents without requiring permissions.
Circle's chief product and technology officer Nikhil Chandhok said USDC is suited for the agentic economy because it is internet-native, programmable, and always available. The products are available at agents.circle.com.
