Benchmark analyst Mark Palmer lowered the price target on Coinbase Global (NASDAQ: COIN) to $260.00 (from $267.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst commented, "Coinbase Global (COIN) heads into its 1Q26 earnings report on Thursday facing the tension between the gravitational pull of crypto market volatility against its deliberate, multi-year effort to build a more durable, infrastructure-like business. This time, however, the backdrop is more nuanced. While softer trading conditions during the quarter are likely to weigh on COIN’s near-term results, prompting us to lower our 1Q26 estimates, it enters the print with improving prospects for long-term profitable growth. While the company this morning announced a 14% reduction in its headcount enabled by AI adoption, its expanding footprint in stablecoins, tokenization and institutional services, combined with a positive shift in momentum behind U.S. crypto legislation, keeps us in the bullish camp."
