Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) announced a private offering of $500 million in senior notes due 2031 through its subsidiary Alaska Airlines Inc. The notes will be guaranteed by Alaska Air Group on a senior unsecured basis.
The company plans to use net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes after deducting fees and expenses. The notes are being offered exclusively to qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A of the Securities Act of 1933 and to investors outside the United States under Regulation S.
The securities will not be registered under the Securities Act or state securities laws and cannot be offered or sold in the United States without registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.
