IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced new capabilities for its Enterprise Advantage consulting service at Think 2026 in Boston on May 6. The company introduced Context Studio, now available, and Process Studio, expected to launch soon, as part of its asset-based consulting platform that helps clients build hybrid-AI systems.
Context Studio allows enterprises to create AI agents using their organizational data and processes. Process Studio will help convert legacy processes into agent-ready workflows by extracting logic from standard operating procedures. IBM reported that in one client project, the company analyzed 1,400 procedures, identified over 1,000 improvement opportunities, and redesigned workflows projected to reduce operating costs by more than 25% within 18 months.
Pearson and IBM are developing a capability to certify and assess AI agents for specific tasks. The solution is being built on Pearson's internal AI platform, modeled on IBM Enterprise Advantage.
Providence health system deployed an AI-powered HR agent using IBM watsonx Orchestrate. After approximately eight months, managers spend 90% less time on hiring steps, job requests are 70% more accurate, and internal transfers occur 12 days faster on average. The system reduced transfer costs by 60%.
IBM expanded its collaboration with SAP through the Agent2Agent interoperability standard, allowing IBM Consulting Advantage agents to manage SAP's Joule agents. IBM Consulting Advantage is now FedRAMP authorized and available on AWS GovCloud for federal agencies.
"Organizations aren't just trying to scale AI, they're trying to scale it with control across multiple AI stacks and within their business context," said Mohamad Ali, SVP and Head of IBM Consulting.
