Hertz Car Sales announced the launch of a dedicated digital showroom on eBay, making more than 8,000 near-new vehicles available through the online marketplace. The partnership represents an expansion of Hertz's retail strategy to reduce reliance on wholesale channels.
The vehicles listed are part of Hertz's certified inventory, typically one year old or newer, sourced from the company's rental fleet. All vehicles undergo a 115-point inspection and include a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty and seven-day buy-back guarantee.
Transactions will be processed through eBay's Secure Purchase system, which provides payment processing, financing options, registration, ownership transfer, transport services, and up to $100,000 in vehicle purchase protection. The inventory includes vehicles from brands such as Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Nissan.
"Building on our strengthened retail channels and existing partnerships, establishing a presence with eBay is a natural next step," said Chris Berg, Executive Vice President of Global Fleet Management at Hertz. "It gives us access to millions of in-market shoppers on a trusted platform."
Andreas Wielgoss, General Manager of Vehicles at eBay US, stated that the partnership connects shoppers with certified vehicles backed by eBay's end-to-end buying experience.
Hertz Car Sales operates 46 locations nationwide and positions itself as offering single-owner vehicles in the used retail market. eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY) reported enabling nearly $80 billion in gross merchandise volume in 2025, according to the press release statement.
