Geotab announced the integration of Polestar vehicles into its OEM telematics network, allowing fleet operators to access vehicle data directly through the MyGeotab platform without installing additional hardware. The integration is available across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific for all Polestar models.
The partnership enables fleet managers to monitor Polestar electric vehicles alongside other vehicle makes and models on a single platform. Through Polestar Fleet Telematics, operators can access data including battery and charging status, location, tire information, vehicle security, maintenance alerts, and climate data in near-real-time.
"Polestar Fleet Telematics combines sustainability with intelligence, integrating seamlessly with Geotab to deliver these capabilities directly into the platforms fleet operators trust," said Emma Knapp, Manager of Global Key Accounts at Polestar (NASDAQ: PSNY).
The integration eliminates the need for aftermarket device installation, which Geotab states reduces logistical overhead for mixed-manufacturer fleets. Polestar joins an OEM telematics network that includes over 80% of vehicle manufacturers by fleet market share, including BMW Group, Ford, Stellantis, Volkswagen Group, and Volvo Cars.
"Fleet operators managing mixed EV and internal combustion engine fleets no longer need separate tools or hardware for each vehicle type," said Christoph Ludewig, Vice President OEM Global at Geotab. "Polestar data flows directly into MyGeotab alongside every other vehicle in the fleet."
Fleet managers can activate the service through the Geotab Marketplace or by contacting their Geotab representative. Geotab serves approximately 100,000 global customers and processes 100 billion data points daily from more than 5 million vehicle subscriptions, according to the company statement.
