CN elects 11 directors at annual shareholder meeting

Canadian National Railway Co. (NYSE: CNI) announced the election of 11 directors at its annual shareholder meeting held May 1, 2026, via online webcast.
All management nominees were elected as directors, with voting results showing support ranging from 94.22% to 99.68%. The elected directors are Shauneen Bruder, Jo-ann dePass Olsovsky, David Freeman, Denise Gray, Justin M. Howell, Susan C. Jones, Robert Knight, Michel Letellier, Al Monaco, Madeleine Paquin, and Tracy Robinson.
Shauneen Bruder, who received 96.07% support with 438,986,975 votes in favor, was unanimously re-elected by the board as board chair. Bruder is a corporate director and retired executive vice-president of operations at Royal Bank of Canada.
David Freeman received the highest level of shareholder support at 99.68%, while Jo-ann dePass Olsovsky received the lowest at 94.22%. The voting was conducted by ballot during the meeting.
The company stated that detailed voting results on all matters addressed at the meeting will be filed with Canadian and U.S. securities regulators. Biographical information on all directors is available in the management information circular dated March 9, 2026.
CN operates a nearly 20,000-mile rail network, transporting more than 300 million tons of cargo annually throughout North America.
