Olema Oncology appoints Prakash Raman to board of directors

Olema Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: OLMA) appointed Prakash Raman to its board of directors, the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company announced.
Raman brings over two decades of executive leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He currently serves as chief executive officer of InduPro Therapeutics and previously held the same role at Ribon Therapeutics. He also served as senior partner and chief business development officer at Flagship Pioneering.
During nearly 14 years at Novartis, Raman held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president and global head of Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research business development and licensing. In that role, he participated in strategic collaborations and guided acquisitions including Advanced Accelerator Applications, Endocyte, IFM Tre, and Selexys.
Raman has served on the board of directors of Black Diamond Therapeutics since April 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in organic and medicinal chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed undergraduate studies and a master's degree in organic chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Olema is advancing palazestrant, its lead product candidate, through two Phase 3 trials. The company expects pivotal data from its OPERA-01 trial this fall. The company is also developing OP-3136, a lysine acetyltransferase 6 inhibitor, currently in a Phase 1 clinical study.
