RV shipments fall 14% in March as towables decline

Investing.com -- Total recreational vehicle wholesale shipments across all categories declined 14% year-over-year in March, reaching 32,162 units, according to Baird.
Year-to-date, RV shipments are tracking down 12% in 2026. The industry shipped 342,121 units in 2025, up 2.5% compared to 2024.
Towable shipments across all categories decreased 16% to 28,484 units. Travel trailer shipments fell 17%, while fifth wheel shipments declined 13%. Camping trailer shipments decreased 19% year-over-year, though truck camper shipments rose 11%.
Motorhome shipments, including Class A, B, and C models, increased 9% to 3,678 units. The gain was driven by a 16% increase in Class C shipments and a 5% rise in Class B shipments. Class A shipments declined 7%.
RV shipments declined 12% in the first quarter. Baird lowered Q1 estimates for LCI Industries and Patrick Industries to reflect softer trends through the March quarter.
RV earnings reports begin this week, with Camping World Holdings (NYSE: CWH) reporting on Wednesday and Patrick Industries (NASDAQ: PATK) reporting on Thursday.
