NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) appointed Scott Gawel as vice president and chief accounting officer, effective May 4, 2026, according to a company statement.
Gawel, 55, will replace Donald Robertson, who notified the company April 24 of his intention to retire from the role. Robertson will remain with NVIDIA as vice president of finance until July 1, 2026, to support various projects.
The incoming chief accounting officer joins NVIDIA from Intel Corp., where he served as corporate vice president and chief accounting officer from 2022 to 2026. Prior to Intel, Gawel held senior financial positions at Oracle Corp., including senior vice president and corporate controller from 2020 to 2022.
His earlier roles at Oracle included senior vice president and assistant controller from 2017 to 2020, vice president of corporate accounting from 2009 to 2017, and senior director of corporate accounting from 2004 to 2009.
The company stated that no arrangement or understanding between Gawel and any other person led to his selection for the position. NVIDIA also confirmed that Gawel has no family relationships with company board members or executive officers.
