WTW (NASDAQ: WTW) announced the appointment of Spike Lipkin as Chief AI Officer and Gordon Wintrob as Head of AI Acceleration, effective immediately. The appointments follow the company's acquisition of Newfront in January 2026.
Lipkin, co-founder and former CEO of Newfront, will report directly to WTW CEO Carl Hess and help shape how AI advances the company's long-term strategy and competitive positioning. As Chief AI Officer, he will guide how to embed AI in the company's strategy, operating model and culture.
Wintrob, co-founder and former CTO of Newfront, will focus on accelerating enterprise-wide adoption of AI capabilities. Also reporting to Hess, Wintrob will work to enable colleagues to embed AI tools in daily work operations.
"I'm excited to have Spike and Gordon in these new roles. They'll help to further embed AI across WTW to enable faster insights and smarter decisions," said Carl Hess, WTW's CEO. "This allows our colleagues to focus on developing new, innovative solutions to accelerate performance, enhance efficiency and deliver better client outcomes."
The new leadership roles aim to scale Newfront's AI approach across WTW's global operations. Both executives bring experience from building what the company describes as an AI-powered broking platform through their work at Newfront.
WTW provides advisory, broking and solutions services across people, risk and capital areas, serving clients in 140 countries and markets. The information is based on a company press release.
