Children's Place partners with Al Othaim to re-enter Saudi Arabia

The Children's Place Inc. (NASDAQ: PLCE) announced a strategic partnership with Al Othaim Life Company to return to the Saudi Arabian market. Al Othaim will serve as the children's retailer's official operating partner in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership marks The Children's Place's return to Saudi Arabia after a previous absence from the market. Initial store openings are scheduled for this year, with a flagship location planned for Riyadh later in 2026.
"We are thrilled to partner with Al Othaim as we re-enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Muhammad Umair, president and chief executive officer of The Children's Place. "This agreement reflects our confidence in the market and our excitement about reconnecting with customers throughout the country."
Al Othaim Life Company operates 27 brands across more than 370 stores in Saudi Arabia and is a subsidiary of Al Othaim Investment Company. The company was founded in 1998 and has expanded from two brands and 16 stores to its current retail platform.
"We are proud to partner with The Children's Place to build something truly special in Saudi Arabia," said Eli Aoun, chief executive officer of Al Othaim. The partnership aims to bring the children's clothing brand to Saudi families across various regions and cities in the kingdom.
The Children's Place operates 498 stores in North America and has distribution agreements in 12 countries through nine international franchise and wholesale partners. The company sells children's clothing primarily under its "The Children's Place" and "Gymboree" brands.
