Beyond Meat COO Jonathan Nelson to resign, John Boken named interim replacement

Beyond Meat Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND) announced that Chief Operations Officer Jonathan Nelson will resign from his position effective May 17, 2026, to pursue another opportunity. Nelson notified the company of his resignation on April 20, 2026.
The company stated that Nelson's departure was not due to any disagreement with Beyond Meat regarding operations, policies or practices.
Beyond Meat's board of directors appointed John Boken, 63, as interim Chief Operations Officer effective May 17, 2026. Boken currently serves as the company's interim Chief Transformation Officer.
Boken provides services to Beyond Meat through an engagement letter dated August 6, 2025, between the company and AP Services, LLC, an affiliate of AlixPartners, LLP. The fees paid under this arrangement will remain unchanged despite Boken's additional responsibilities.
The company noted there are no arrangements or understandings between Boken and any other person regarding his selection as an officer. Beyond Meat also confirmed no family relationships exist between Boken and any director or executive officer of the company.
