Trigon Metals completes name change to Safi Silver Corp
Trigon Metals Inc. (TSX-V: TM, OTCPK: PNTZF) completed a short-form vertical amalgamation with its wholly-owned subsidiary Safi Silver Corp., effective April 1, 2026, according to a company statement. The company changed its name to Safi Silver Corp. following the amalgamation.
The company's trading symbol on the TSX Venture Exchange will change to "SF" effective April 28, 2026, while its symbol on OTC Markets will remain unchanged. The amalgamation was undertaken to simplify the corporate structure and reduce administrative costs.
No securities will be issued in connection with the amalgamation, and the company's share capital will remain unchanged. The transaction will not affect existing shareholders, who do not need to exchange their share certificates. A new CUSIP number, 78657T108, has been assigned to replace the previous number.
The company's board of directors approved the amalgamation, name change and ticker change. Shareholders, including disinterested shareholders, previously approved the name change. The company filed articles of amendment with Corporations Canada effective April 1, 2026.
Trigon Metals is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on copper and silver holdings in African jurisdictions. In Morocco, the company operates the Addana project, which contains silver-bearing polymetallic veins, and the Silver Hill sedimentary copper prospect. The company also holds the Kalahari Copperbelt Project in Namibia.
The company launched a new website at www.safisilver.com in connection with the name change.
