Vanda Pharmaceuticals adds Dr. Charles Duncan to board of directors

Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: VNDA) announced the appointment of Charles Duncan, Ph.D., to its board of directors effective April 22, 2026. The appointment expands Vanda's board to seven directors, with six being independent members.

Duncan currently serves as president of Sulci Advisors, LLC, a life sciences business advisory firm he founded in September 2025. He previously worked nearly three decades as a biotechnology equity research analyst, most recently as managing director and senior biotechnology analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. from July 2018 until his retirement in June 2025.

During his tenure at Cantor Fitzgerald, Duncan initiated or assumed coverage on more than 70 companies, focusing on neurology, psychiatry and platform-enabled therapeutics. He also held senior biotechnology analyst positions at Piper Jaffray & Co. from December 2012 to June 2018, and at JMP Securities, LLC from September 2002 to December 2012, where he was a founding healthcare partner.

Duncan earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Neuropharmacology from the University of Colorado-Boulder and his B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Duncan stated he joins the board during what he described as "a potentially transformational period in the company's evolution," citing recent approvals of NEREUS and BYSANTI, previous label expansion for Fanapt, and pipeline developments expected over the next 12 months.
