Prairie Operating director Gizman Abbas to resign from board May 15

Prairie Operating Co. (NASDAQ: PROP) announced that board director Gizman I. Abbas will resign from the company's board of directors effective May 15, 2026.
The Houston-based energy company stated that Abbas's resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company or board regarding operations, policies, or practices. During his tenure, Abbas served on the Compensation Committee and Audit Committee while chairing the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Erik Thoresen, chairman of the board, said Abbas's insight and perspective helped strengthen the company's strategic direction. Richard N. Frommer, interim president and chief executive officer, noted that Abbas had been a thoughtful board member who supported the company's strategic objectives.
Prairie Operating develops and acquires oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids resources in the Denver-Julesburg Basin, focusing primarily on the Niobrara and Codell formations.
