Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) announced an integration with Evergen, a distributed energy and virtual power plant orchestration platform used by energy retailers in Australia and New Zealand. The integration allows Enphase IQ Battery owners to participate in virtual power plant programs through Evergen's technology platform.
The integration enables capabilities such as charging batteries during low-price periods, exporting energy during high-price events, and participating in grid-support programs. Program availability depends on retailer, system configuration, and state requirements, according to the press release.
Eligible customers may access state-based incentives in South Australia and New South Wales, retailer sign-up bonuses, and participation credits. These benefits combine with Australia's federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate, which provides up to 30% off eligible home battery systems.
"Integrating with Enphase unlocks more choice and more value for Australian households," said Ryan Wood, head of commercial at Evergen. "Our platform now has the potential to enable homeowners to optimize their Enphase batteries, participate in leading VPP programs, and earn new revenue streams while supporting a more resilient grid."
Enphase operates grid services platforms across more than 65 VPP programs in eight countries. The company previously announced an integration with Amber Electric in Australia.
"Australia continues to lead the world in home energy innovation, and our integration with Evergen is another step toward giving homeowners more control and more value from their solar and battery investments," said Marco Krapels, senior vice president of global energy markets and CMO at Enphase Energy.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
