RTX's Pratt & Whitney Canada expands engine maintenance services in Singapore

Pratt & Whitney Canada, a unit of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has launched new maintenance, repair and overhaul services for helicopter and regional turboprop engines at its Singapore facility. The expanded capabilities include MRO services for the PT6C-67C helicopter engine and the PW127XT regional turboprop engine.

The new services target support for more than 300 PT6C-67C-powered Leonardo AW139 helicopters operating in the Asia Pacific region. The facility also added global MRO capacity for the PW127XT engine, which powers ATR 42/72 aircraft and will be used on the future Deutsche Aircraft D328eco.

The PT6C-67C capabilities represent the first turboshaft maintenance services at the Singapore site, which has operated since 1983. The facility installed a new modular test cell to support full engine overhauls. The site also expanded existing PW100 MRO capabilities to include complete overhaul support for the PW127XT variant.

"With the addition of these new heavy MRO services, we are better positioned to meet rising demand from our in-region customers by offering advanced, localized maintenance solutions and reducing turnaround times," said Anthony Rossi, vice president of Customer Service at Pratt & Whitney Canada.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has delivered over 3,000 PT6C-67C engines, which have accumulated more than 10 million flight hours. The PW100 engine family has logged over 220 million flight hours globally, with the PW127XT accounting for 300,000 hours.

RTX reported 2025 sales of more than $88 billion and employs over 180,000 people globally. The company is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.
