W. R. Berkley names Christopher Reichardt president of oil unit

W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) appointed Christopher T. Reichardt as president of Berkley Oil & Gas, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Reichardt succeeds Linda A. Eppolito, who was named chair of the business.
Reichardt brings over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas insurance industry, with more than 15 years at Berkley Oil & Gas. He previously served as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for the unit.
"Chris has made tremendous contributions to Berkley Oil & Gas during his tenure and we are excited to have him lead the business's highly skilled team going forward," said W. Robert Berkley, Jr., president and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley Corporation.
Berkley Oil & Gas provides insurance coverage to companies in the oil and gas sector, including operators, drillers, contractors, equipment suppliers, and manufacturers. The business offers specialized coverages, risk control services, and claims management.
Founded in 1967, W. R. Berkley Corporation operates as an insurance holding company in the property casualty insurance business through two segments: Insurance and Reinsurance & Monoline Excess.
