LegalZoom (NASDAQ: LZ) and GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) announced a strategic partnership making LegalZoom the exclusive legal services provider within the GoDaddy platform. The collaboration allows GoDaddy customers to access LegalZoom's LLC formation services directly through the GoDaddy experience.
Under the partnership, customers can secure a domain, build a website, and establish their business with legal and state compliance support through a single platform. GoDaddy users gain access to LegalZoom's guided formation process and LLC filing services, with attorney guidance available when needed.
"Partnerships are a critical component of our go-to-market strategy, and this collaboration with GoDaddy is a great example of how we can meet customers where they already are and deliver legal services through the complementary platforms they rely on," said Kathy Tsitovich, chief corporate development and partnerships officer at LegalZoom.
The integration aims to streamline business formation for entrepreneurs by combining domain registration, website building, and legal entity formation in one workflow. LegalZoom provides formation services that cover business registration steps and compliance requirements, backed by what the company describes as a 100% accuracy filing guarantee and access to their network of attorneys.
"Forming an LLC should be a milestone for an entrepreneur, not a roadblock," said Oliver Hoare, vice president of strategic partnerships at GoDaddy. "Partnering with LegalZoom delivers a streamlined path for customers to go from an idea to an officially registered business."
The partnership represents an expansion of LegalZoom's distribution strategy through third-party platforms, while GoDaddy adds business formation services to its existing domain and website building offerings for small business customers.
