Willdan Group Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) has been awarded a $27 million, three-year contract with the New York City Mayor's Office of Climate & Environmental Justice to redesign and implement the NYC Accelerator program.
The program assists building owners and stakeholders in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and complying with Local Law 97, while advancing the city's sustainability and green jobs objectives, according to a company statement.

The redesign will shift the program's focus from building energy awareness to project implementation. This marks the first time Willdan has held this program contract.

The company's services include electric grid solutions, energy efficiency and sustainability, energy policy planning, engineering and planning, and municipal financial consulting.
