NETGEAR receives conditional FCC approval as trusted router company

NETGEAR Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR) announced it received conditional approval from the Federal Communications Commission as a trusted consumer router company, according to a company statement.

The company stated it is the first retail consumer router manufacturer to receive this designation from the FCC. The approval follows new safety and security standards for consumer routers that the FCC implemented in March 2026, based on a federal government risk assessment.

The FCC established these standards to enhance security requirements for home networking products and consumer routers. NETGEAR described the regulatory action as aligned with its security-focused approach to product development.
