Corteva names leadership team for spinoff seed genetics company

Corteva Inc. (NYSE: CTVA) announced the executive leadership team for its planned spinoff company, referred to as "SpinCo," which will focus on advanced seed and genetics technologies. The separation is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Chuck Magro, currently Corteva's CEO, will serve as CEO of the new company upon separation. The executive team will include David Johnson as chief financial officer, Judd O'Connor as chief commercial and operations officer, Sam Eathington as chief technology officer, Audrey Grimm as chief people officer, Brian Lutz as chief digital and information officer, and Jennifer Johnson as chief legal officer.
The spinoff company will concentrate on germplasm development and biotechnology applications, including gene editing and molecular breeding techniques. The company plans to expand its licensing business and explore opportunities in new row crops.
SpinCo leadership will host an investor day on September 15 at the New York Stock Exchange. The company's final name and branding details will be announced in the coming weeks.
