AWS releases Claude Mythos AI model for cybersecurity through Bedrock
Amazon Web Services announced the availability of Anthropic's Claude Mythos AI model through Amazon Bedrock as a gated research preview via Project Glasswing, according to a company statement.
Claude Mythos represents a new model class focused on cybersecurity applications. The AI system can identify security vulnerabilities in software, analyze large codebases, and perform cybersecurity, coding, and reasoning tasks. Security teams can use the model to discover and address vulnerabilities in software before threats emerge.
Access to Claude Mythos is currently limited to allowlisted organizations. Anthropic and AWS are prioritizing internet critical companies and open source maintainers for initial access to the preview.
AWS also launched Agent Registry through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore as a preview service. The registry provides organizations with a private catalog for discovering and managing AI agents, tools, skills, MCP servers, and custom resources.
The Agent Registry includes semantic and keyword search capabilities, approval workflows, and CloudTrail audit trails. Organizations can access the registry through the AgentCore Console, AWS CLI, SDK, and as an MCP server that can be queried from integrated development environments.
The registry aims to help teams locate existing capabilities to avoid duplicating development efforts across organizations.
