Collins Aerospace wins Bell contracts for Army aircraft systems

Collins Aerospace, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, has been awarded multiple contracts from Bell Textron Inc. to provide five systems for the U.S. Army's MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft program.

The contracts cover main power generation, interconnect drive system, SmartProbe air data system, cockpit seating, and ice protection system components for the FLRAA aircraft. Collins Aerospace will provide several systems through commercial acquisition authorities, according to the company's statement.

"The Army's new generation of rotorcraft needs to fly farther and faster, and we're committed to helping Bell accelerate delivery of that advanced performance with Collins' military-grade commercial technology," said Troy Brunk, president of Collins Aerospace.

Ryan Ehinger, senior vice president and program director at Bell, said the company is working with Collins Aerospace as part of Team FLRAA to deliver the aircraft for the U.S. Army.

The MV-75 FLRAA represents the U.S. Army's first clean sheet rotorcraft design in a generation and is intended to deliver twice the speed and range of the current fleet. The program uses digital engineering and a modular open systems approach.

Work on these systems will be completed across multiple U.S. locations including Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia.

RTX reported 2025 sales of more than $88 billion and employs over 180,000 people globally. The company is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.
