Unusual Machines expands motor production capacity at Orlando facility

Unusual Machines Inc. (NYSE American: UMAC) announced operational changes at its Orlando motor manufacturing facility that are expected to more than double daily production capacity.

The drone component manufacturer currently produces approximately 15,000 motors per month and has implemented second and third shifts at the facility. Equipment updates, additional staffing, and factory layout modifications are projected to increase daily production from approximately 700 to 1,500 parts per day as the expanded capacity becomes operational.

The company operates motor production 24 hours a day, five days a week at the Orlando location, which launched five months ago. Motor factory personnel are expected to roughly double in May as production increases.

"We're running motor production 24 hours a day, five days a week, and I'm proud of how the team has expanded and refined the operation in the five months since launch," said Andrew Camden, President and Chief Operating Officer. "We continue to push production higher by adding equipment and building out the team."

Motor design and engineering operations are overseen by Vice President of Motors Andrew Simpson, who joined through the company's acquisition of Rotor Lab and recently relocated to the United States. Manufacturing operations are led by Vice President of Manufacturing Brad Mello, who established the Orlando facility.

Unusual Machines plans to install a high-volume automated motor production line in the second half of 2026 to further expand output. The company manufactures NDAA-compliant drone components.
