SLB (NYSE: SLB) announced that its SLB OneSubsea joint venture received a contract from Beacon Offshore Energy Exploration and Production LLC to supply a high-pressure, high-temperature multiphase boosting system for the Shenandoah field in the Gulf of America.
The system is designed to operate above 15,000 psi, exceeding the capabilities of conventional subsea solutions. SLB OneSubsea began working with BOE in January 2025 to develop the customized subsea boosting solution for the field's operating conditions.
"Our engagement with BOE began in January 2025, enabling us to design a subsea boosting solution tailored to the field's operating conditions," said Andreas Fjellbirkeland, vice president of Processing Systems at SLB OneSubsea.
The technology is intended to support enhanced oil recovery and accelerate production in deepwater developments. SLB OneSubsea is a joint venture between SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, with headquarters in Oslo and Houston and 10,000 employees globally.
The contract represents continued investment in deepwater projects where advanced subsea systems are being deployed to improve recovery rates in challenging operating environments.
