Klarna (NYSE: KLAR) announced an expansion of its partnership with DOUGLAS Group to Italy and Spain. The collaboration brings Klarna's payment options to DOUGLAS customers in Southern Europe, building on an existing partnership in other European markets.
Customers in Italy and Spain can now access Klarna at checkout when shopping at DOUGLAS stores, including options to split purchases into interest-free installments. DOUGLAS Group operates as Europe's premium beauty retailer.
"Italy is a thriving and fast-growing market for beauty, and we are thrilled to bring Klarna's payment solutions to DOUGLAS shoppers here," said Luigi Traldi, Head of Klarna in South Europe.
Klarna operates as a digital bank and flexible payments provider with over 118 million active users globally and processes 3.4 million transactions daily. The company serves one million retailers including Uber, H&M, Sephora, Macy's, and Nike.
The partnership expansion allows DOUGLAS customers in the two countries to use Klarna's payment network for beauty purchases. Customers can pay with Klarna online, in-store, and through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
