Los Angeles World Airports has selected Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) to upgrade digital displays at Los Angeles International Airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal. The project involves installing more than 30 displays forming seven LED media walls throughout 2026.
The displays will cover more than 15,000 square feet of digital space and feature over 300 million pixels. Installation locations include gate areas, arrival ramps, baggage claim carousel, and flight information displays with pixel spacing ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 millimeters.
The largest installation will be an 8,119-square-foot upper island advertisement display, while other installations include ribbon displays at gates totaling 5,076 square feet and a 4,279-square-foot ticker counter back wall display.
"Each year, millions of guests pass through LAX's Tom Bradley International Terminal, and this modernization is designed to deliver a world-class travel experience that redefines what it means to move through an airport," said Hans Thilenius, Deputy Executive Director of Terminal Development and Improvement Program at Los Angeles World Airports.
The displays are being integrated into the terminal's existing architecture and control room. Daktronics expects the installation to be completed in 2027.
LAX served more than 70 million passengers in 2025, including more than 23 million international travelers. The display upgrade is part of a broader $30 billion transformation of the airport's infrastructure.
The information is based on a press release from Daktronics.
