C3 AI (NYSE: AI) announced the general availability of C3 Code, a development platform that uses natural language processing to create enterprise AI applications. The platform allows users to describe requirements in natural language, with autonomous agents handling the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of applications.
According to the company, C3 Code can produce complete applications including data models, APIs, machine learning pipelines, and user interfaces from single natural language prompts. The platform includes over 40 pre-built enterprise AI applications and packages for industries including manufacturing, energy, financial services, defense, utilities, and healthcare.
C3 AI conducted an evaluation using Anthropic's Claude to compare C3 Code against competing platforms. The evaluation scored C3 Code at 9.2 out of 10 overall, compared to OpenAI's Codex at 6.0, Anthropic's Claude Code at 5.2, and Palantir at 7.7. C3 Code received a perfect score of 10 in the Domain Intelligence category.
"C3 Code changes everything," said Stephen Ehikian, CEO of C3 AI. "From this day forward, Enterprise AI is fully agentic, autonomous, intuitive, and fast. A single team member can describe a business problem in plain English and C3 Code delivers a complete, governed, production-grade AI application."
The platform features the C3 AI Type System for connecting enterprise data across sources, production domain AI algorithms for common enterprise use cases, and governed deployment with enterprise-grade security and access controls. C3 Code supports multiple large language models and provides application portability without vendor lock-in.
Applications that can be built with C3 Code include supply chain intelligence systems, global parts visibility platforms, and asset performance optimization tools. The company states that development time for such applications has been reduced from weeks or months to hours.
