General Dynamics Land Systems received a $450 million contract from the U.S. Marine Corps for the Pre-Production Development phase of the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle competition, the company announced.

The contract covers validation of the final design and construction of multiple vehicles across a subset of the expected ARV variants. The work will be followed by U.S. Government testing and evaluation activities.

"Our ARV prototype has been thoroughly tested throughout the previous phases, and we are confident in its ability to meet and exceed the requirements of the Marine Corps," said Keith Barclay, Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Operations at General Dynamics Land Systems.
