Levi Strauss & Co. (NYSE: LEVI) announced that Chief Financial & Growth Officer Harmit Singh will retire following a planned transition period. The company has begun searching for a successor with assistance from an executive search firm.
Singh will continue serving as CFO until a replacement is appointed and will then transition to a Special Advisor role before retiring. The executive has been with Levi Strauss for 13 years, joining as Chief Financial Officer in 2013.
During his tenure, Singh oversaw the company's initial public offering and transformation into what the company describes as a direct-to-consumer focused retailer. His responsibilities expanded in 2023 to include Chief Growth Officer duties, encompassing corporate strategy, real estate operations, and franchise expansion.
"He played an important role in taking the company public, supporting the company's transformation into a DTC-first retailer, and strengthening our financial foundation and operating rigor," said CEO Michelle Gass in the announcement.
Before joining Levi Strauss, Singh served as CFO at Hyatt Hotels Corporation and held division CFO positions at Yum! Restaurants International and Pizza Hut. At Levi Strauss, he managed global finance, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, strategic sourcing and business services functions.
The San Francisco-based apparel company reported net revenues of $6.3 billion for 2025 and operates approximately 3,300 retail stores and shop-in-shops across 120 countries. The company designs and markets jeans and casual wear under the Levi's, Levi Strauss Signature, and Beyond Yoga brands.
