Marsh McLennan Agency, a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), announced the acquisition of Seitz Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency based in Sidney, Montana. The company did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.
Founded in 1961, Seitz Insurance provides commercial and personal line insurance solutions to businesses and families in the region, with specialization in agriculture, crop and energy industries. The agency acquired Bishop Insurance Services of Polson, Montana in 2023.
All Seitz Insurance employees, including agency principals and co-owners David Seitz and Camila Skinner, will join MMA and continue operating from their existing office locations. The acquisition expands MMA's presence in Montana, where it already operates nine other offices throughout central and western areas of the state.
"Many in the community have grown up with Seitz Insurance as a household name," said Sarah Walsh, CEO of MMA's Northwest region. "With nine other MMA offices throughout central and western Montana, the Seitz Insurance team helps us round out more of our services on the eastern side of the state."
David Seitz stated the company selected Marsh McLennan Agency because of their commitment to clients, colleagues and communities. He said joining MMA provides confidence that Seitz Insurance can continue serving clients while giving colleagues opportunities for growth.
