S&P Global Mobility names Renato Negro as chief accounting officer

S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) announced the appointment of Renato Negro as Chief Accounting Officer for its Mobility business, effective April 6, 2026. Negro will oversee accounting, tax, financial reporting, and compliance functions as the company prepares to separate Mobility into a standalone public company.
Negro will report to Matt Calderone, who will serve as Chief Financial Officer of the separated entity. S&P Global expects to complete the Mobility business separation in mid-2026, pending regulatory approvals and board approval, along with SEC approval of the Form 10 registration statement.
Negro brings over 20 years of public company accounting and finance experience. He previously served as Chief Accounting Officer at ESAB Corporation, joining during its preparation for spin-off from Colfax Corporation. At ESAB, he helped strengthen corporate teams and processes while participating in acquisitions and integrations.
Before ESAB, Negro held the position of Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Avanos Medical, Inc., which spun off from Kimberly-Clark Corporation. He spent 18 years at Kimberly-Clark in various controllership roles, ultimately serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Negro holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Turin University. The information was disclosed in a company press release.
