Miami International Holdings reports 26.6% increase in options volume

Miami International Holdings Inc. (NYSE: MIAX) reported March 2026 trading results showing increased volume across its options exchanges. The MIAX Exchange Group reached a year-to-date average daily volume record of 10.9 million contracts through March 2026, representing a 26.6% increase from 8.6 million contracts in the same period of 2025.

The company's options market share reached 17.3% year-to-date through March 2026, compared to 16.0% in the prior-year period. March 2026 options average daily volume was 10.7 million contracts, up 29.4% from 8.3 million contracts in March 2025.

The overall U.S. equity options industry average daily volume was 61.8 million contracts in March 2026, a 16.1% increase from 53.2 million contracts in March 2025. Year-to-date industry volume reached 62.6 million contracts, up 16.9% from the same period in 2025.

MIAX Pearl, the company's equities exchange, reported March 2026 average daily volume of 194 million shares, an 18.7% increase from 163 million shares in March 2025. However, its market share decreased to 0.9% from 1.0% in the prior year.

MIAX Futures experienced a decline, with March 2026 average daily volume of 10,394 contracts, down 29.4% from 14,715 contracts in March 2025. Year-to-date futures volume was 10,816 contracts, a 39.9% decrease from 18,002 contracts in the same period of 2025.
