NielsenIQ (NYSE: NIQ) announced the launch of Ask Arthur Chat, an AI-powered conversational interface that allows users to access consumer insights through natural-language queries.
The tool enables users to ask questions about product performance, market trends, and category dynamics, receiving instant answers without requiring advanced analytics expertise. Ask Arthur Chat draws on NIQ's consumer and retail datasets to provide business-focused insights.
"Ask Arthur Chat expands how we bring NIQ to market," said Troy Treangen, Chief Product Officer at NIQ. "By combining AI with our trusted datasets, we are making insights more accessible while creating new opportunities to engage clients and support their growth."
The initial release targets small and medium-sized business clients in the United States. NIQ aims to reduce barriers to insight access and increase client engagement with its platforms through the lower-friction entry point.
NIQ plans to expand Ask Arthur Chat capabilities across its Ask Arthur and Discover platforms. Future developments include integration into existing client workflows, expanded insights and use cases, additional geographic markets, and multilingual capabilities.
The tool currently operates in the United States, with NIQ planning to expand availability to additional regions over time. Users can ask questions related to insights available from NIQ data in its Discover platform.
NIQ operates in more than 90 countries and covers approximately 82% of the world's population and more than $7.4 trillion in global consumer spending, according to the company's press release.
