Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS) announced the release of Sitefinity Generative CMS, a content management system that incorporates artificial intelligence capabilities for enterprise digital experiences. The software enables AI-powered search, personalization and conversational interfaces within what the company describes as a governed framework.
The system includes Dynamically Generated Experiences (DGE) that combine behavioral data from the Sitefinity Insight Customer Data Platform to personalize content in real-time. An Observability Intent Grid allows teams to audit AI-driven decisions, according to the company's announcement.
The release features embedded AI agents designed to maintain content consistency. The Brand Agent provides guidance for maintaining organizational voice and style standards, while the SEO Agent analyzes content to enhance visibility across search platforms. The system supports Schema.org JSON-LD structured data definition for content discovery by AI engines and search tools.
Sitefinity Generative CMS integrates Progress Agentic RAG technology for AI-driven search and conversational experiences across enterprise content. The AI capabilities are available in Progress Sitefinity Cloud and supported through self-hosted deployments on versions 15.4 and later.
"Many enterprises are experimenting with generative AI but haven't made the transition to large-scale use in their digital presence for reasons of maturity and governability," said Loren Jarrett, EVP and GM, Digital Experience at Progress Software.
The announcement follows the initial release of Sitefinity Generative CMS in late 2025, according to the company statement. Progress Software provides software development and digital experience tools to organizations globally.
