Investing.com -- Shares of major movie theater chains rose on Monday, driven by strong recent box-office performance.
AMC Entertainment gained 8.5%, while Canada's Cineplex rose 4.6%, Imax added 2.9%, and National CineMedia rose 1.3%.
Bloomberg Intelligence noted that the recent box office has shown "solid performance across the diverse slate," with Project Hail Mary and Hoppers among the titles with robust ticket sales.
