electroCore receives two new US patents for nerve stimulation technology

electroCore Inc. (NASDAQ: ECOR) announced the issuance of two new U.S. patents that expand the company's intellectual property portfolio for non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation technology.
The first patent, U.S. Patent No. 12,208,263 titled "Devices and Methods for Vagal Nerve Stimulation," was issued January 28, 2026. It covers methods for modulating the vagus nerve through electrode positioning with conductive gel on the neck and dynamic adjustment based on user pressure sensation.
The second patent, U.S. Patent No. 12,213,795 titled "Devices and Methods for Remote Therapy and Patient Monitoring," was issued February 4, 2026. It covers systems for storing electrical impulse data, collecting patient status information, and comparing data to optimize therapy and enable remote monitoring.
"These two new patents are a powerful demonstration of electroCore's commitment to innovation and IP protection," said Joshua Lev, Interim President and CFO of electroCore, according to the company's press release.
The patents protect technology used in the company's gammaCore and gammaCore Sapphire platforms, as well as wellness products including TAC-STIM and Truvaga 350. The company states its patent portfolio now includes more than 160 issued U.S. patents with pending applications in the U.S. and internationally.
electroCore develops bioelectronic technology for headache management and wellness applications. The company's prescription products include gammaCore for primary headache conditions and Quell Fibromyalgia for symptom reduction. It also markets handheld wellness devices using vagus nerve stimulation technology.
The company indicated that its patent portfolio, including pending applications, potentially extends patent terms until at least 2039.
